Salary: Up to £42,000.00 per year (depending on experience, training, and qualification)

Location: Nottingham

This is a full-time role, requiring flexible shift coverage.

Duties of This Role Include
  • Prepare and handle specialist instrumentation and equipment in line with protocols.
  • Assist surgical and anaesthetic teams, anticipating needs and adapting as necessary.
  • Lead in preparing theatres, coordinating surgical lists, and ensuring resource availability.
  • Support the Theatre Manager with team briefings, scheduling, and patient flow.
  • Supervise junior staff, providing clinical guidance.
  • Identify and escalate risks, participate in audits and incident reviews.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure excellent patient care.
Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria
  • Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC).
  • Significant perioperative experience, especially in orthopaedic surgery.
  • Knowledge of complex procedures.
  • Leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Understanding of clinical governance and safety practices.
  • Previous senior or team lead theatre experience.
