Senior Theatre Practitioner (ODP) – Tunbridge Wells Hospital

Role: Permanent, Full-Time

Location: Tunbridge Wells Hospital | Theatre

Salary: Up to £48,500 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Role overview

Senior Theatre Practitioner (ODP) at our Tunbridge Wells Hospital is a registered practitioner with the appropriate governing body (HCPC) and the relevant qualifications and experience. You bring high standards in perioperative care, meticulous attention to detail and post-registration experience. You’re a focused, flexible and motivated team player.

Key responsibilities

  • Prioritise patient safety, take appropriate actions and encourage colleagues to call out and report safety concerns.

  • Promote a safe working environment for patients, visitors and staff in full compliance with all policies and procedures.

  • Support governance activity, ensuring full compliance with Nuffield Health’s Quality governance framework and national standards (e.g., CQC/HIW/HIS), fundamentals of care, professional standards and evidence-based guidelines.

  • Provide and lead care management and delivery, treating patients, families, friends and representatives with kindness, dignity, respect and compassion, and supporting them emotionally with their care, treatment or condition.

  • Collaborate with other clinicians within the hospital to build strong working relationships that enhance patient care and service delivery.

  • Take charge of a theatre, coordinating and delivering work activities and leading junior practitioners.
