Senior Theatre Practitioner (ODP)

Tunbridge Wells Hospital | Nursing | Fixed Term (1 year) | Full time

Up to £44,000 depending on experience

37.5 hours per week

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner (ODP) at our Tunbridge Wells Hospital, you’re registered with the appropriate governing body, hold relevant qualifications including HCPC registration, and have post-registration experience. You bring a passion for high standards in perioperative care, attention to detail, and are a focused, flexible, motivated team worker.

The opportunity

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner, you will:

  • Work on a varied caseload using different equipment and facilities, all state-of-the-art.
  • Supervise, support, and develop junior staff members.
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based, and clinically effective care and experiences for patients.
  • Work within all three parts of theatre: Recovery, Theatre, and Anaesthetics.
  • Scrub and assist in theatre cases.
  • Cover the On-Call Rota for the department.

To succeed as a Senior Theatre Practitioner, you will have:

  • High focus and engagement.
  • A passion for high standards and attention to detail.
  • Qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC or HCPC.
  • Post-registration experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and teamworking abilities.
  • Flexibility and motivation.

Key information about the role

This role involves working across all parts of theatre, including Recovery, Theatre, Anaesthetics, and SFA.
