About the role

Location: Portsmouth - mostly on site with some travel

Salary: £43,000 - £47,000 + 3% Bonus

Clearance: Currently hold or eligible for SC Clearance

You will join an existing and growing test practice of a global IT Consultancy, delivering digital transformation to the UK government. As a Senior Test Specialist, you will work alongside a team of dedicated professionals, driven to find better, faster, more effective ways of testing and adding value to projects. You will lead by example, develop your team and emerging talent, and strengthen the Test Practice's reputation as a centre of excellence. Your Experience

• Understanding of the Software Development and Testing Lifecycles
• Experience with multiple delivery methodologies such as Agile, V-Model & Waterfall
• Experience testing both Infrastructure and Applications
• Ability to identify test data and create test cases based on clear requirements
• Experience executing test cases and recording results
• Defect logging, investigation, and support experience
• Metrics collection related to testing
• Organization of test materials, environments, tools, and resources
• Creation of test plan documents for small to medium projects
• Accountability for test team deliverables
• Experience with writing test scripts, reports, defect management, and reporting
• Proficiency with SOAP UI, XML, Jenkins, JIRA
