Join us as a Senior Test Manager at Barclays, where you'll design, develop, and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, to provide business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.
To be successful, you should have experience with:
- Leading testing functions for medium to large multi-year transformation programmes in the Banking/Finance domain
- Coordinating and working with multi-location delivery teams
- Stakeholder management, including dealing with Accountable executives at Director/Managing Director level
- Working in a Centre of Excellence (CoE) based federated Technology delivery model (desirable)
Highly Valued Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in a numerate subject (e.g., maths, computer science)
- Experience in Treasury/Finance domains
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence

Purpose of the role: To design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, and continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to ensure software quality and reliability.
Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Create and execute automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools to facilitate early detection of defects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse requirements, participate in design discussions, and develop acceptance criteria.
- Perform root cause analysis for defects, working closely with developers to resolve issues.
- Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of quality and knowledge sharing.
- Stay informed of industry trends and contribute to technology communities.
