Intertek Electrical is recruiting a Senior Test Engineer specializing in Medical product lines. The role involves providing technical assessments, authorizations of approvals & projects, and serving as a technical expert in medical, laboratory, and related standards.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Relevant degree or equivalent higher education/experience
• Proven track record in testing, manufacturing, service engineering, or auditing
• Proficient IT skills, including Excel, Word, and data systems
• Experience with Quality Management Systems
• Ability to fault find at the component level
• Experience with ISO 17025 laboratories (desirable)
• Knowledge of electronics and understanding of standards like IEC/EN 60601-1/61010-1
• Ability to interpret codes, standards, schematics, and manufacturing instructions
• Experience in testing and safety evaluations
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

About the Opportunity:

You will oversee sample preparation, testing, reporting, and document management. You will also support laboratory and administrative activities to ensure effective technical support.

Key Activities:

• Set up test programs for safety evaluations
• Conduct tests such as leakage current, dielectric, temperature, pressure, stability, hazard, flammability, etc.
• Assess documentation against standards
• Produce evaluation reports
• Review client requirements and prepare test plans and quotations
• Provide technical support and participate in client meetings
• Ensure compliance with quality and accreditation standards
• Perform additional tasks as needed
