Job summary

A high-growth digital consultancy in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to own the test strategy end-to-end. The ideal candidate will have experience in automation testing, manual testing capabilities, and knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform. This role offers a flexible working environment and the opportunity to work on impactful projects such as those for the UK Government.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automation experience with a strong manual testing background.
• Experience hands-on with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
• Accessibility know-how (Axe or equivalent).
• Experience with accessibility testing using Axe or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain automated tests with Playwright + Cucumber.
• Conduct manual testing where it adds the most value.
• Wire tests into Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions CI/CD.
• Deliver API and accessibility testing (Axe or equivalent).
• Integrate tests into CI/CD with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Plan testing, estimate scope, surface risks and lead defect triage.
• Mentor squads across UK & India to raise quality standards.

Overview

Security: Current SC or immediate eligibility. Where: Birmingham / hybrid (home + occasional client/site days). A high-growth digital consultancy with household-name clients, public-sector builds and interesting problems is hiring a Senior Test Engineer who can own the test strategy end-to-end and is comfortable with hands-on manual testing and scalable automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ automation experience with a solid manual testing backbone.
• ISTQB (Foundation or Advanced).
• Hands-on with Microsoft Dynamics 365 & Power Platform.
• Accessibility know-how (Axe or equivalent).
• Agile/Scrum native; clear communicator; proactive and delivery-driven.
