Job summary

Redline UK is seeking a Senior Test Development Engineer in East Sussex to lead test strategy and develop state-of-the-art test equipment for semiconductor-related products. The role involves designing software for ATE systems, fixtures, and providing manufacturing test support across sites.

You will work within the Test Development Engineering Group and report to the Section Head, contributing to cost reduction initiatives and advanced test methodologies.

Qualifications

• Experience in PCA Test Development or Module Test Development, with awareness of the other.
• Min HND in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Agree test strategy for product and work with the Section Head to develop cost-effective test methods.
• Implement ATE level solution; design and develop software (C#, Visual Basic) and fixtures.
• Provide production technical support for test solutions.
• Support site cost reduction initiatives through testing improvements.

Are you a motivated, technically minded Senior Test Development Engineer who is looking for increased responsibility and the challenges of working with state of the art test equipment within this internationally successful company?

This world market leader in technology for the semi-conductor industries is currently seeking to recruit a Test Development Engineer to develop software, support and improve a diverse range of rack based and module electronic test equipment.

This organisation can also offer dynamic, challenging, and exciting career opportunities and is based in East Sussex but is commutable from Eastbourne, Bexhill, Hastings, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Heathfield, Uckfield, Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill, Brighton, Newhaven and Seaford.

This Test Development Engineer - East Sussex will be responsible for providing manufacturing test support and maintaining a range of state of the art In-Circuit Test and Automated Test Equipment within the factory. The role will be within the Test Development Engineering Group and will report into the Test Engineering Section Head.

Main responsibilities for this Senior Test Development Engineer Job will be:

• Agree test strategy for product Work closely with Section Head and team colleagues to develop innovative cost-effective test methodology based on volume and complexity of product.
• Implement ATE level solution. Design and develop software (C#, Visual Basic legacy) + fixtures.
• Provide production technical support for test solution.
• Provide test support for the sites cost reduction initiatives.

Key experience for this Senior Test Development Engineer Job:

• Experienced in PCA Test Development or Module Test Development (highly experienced in at least one of these, with a good level of awareness of the other).
• Min HND in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.

Desired experience for this Senior Test Development Engineer Job: -

• PCA Test Development on Keysight (Agilent) HP3070 or similar automated in-circuit board test systems.
