Job summary

Motorola Solutions UK Limited is seeking an experienced Test Automation Lead to own the automated testing strategy for the Pronto platform. You will lead a team of automation engineers, convert manual tests into reliable automated scripts, and drive regression testing across the department.

You will collaborate with test managers, developers and delivery teams to embed automation into daily processes, ensuring high-quality releases while supporting flexible, hybrid work from the Glasgow office

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• A formal qualification (Degree) in Computing Science or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in QA Automation.
• Experience of converting manual test cases into automated scripts.
• Experience of Java or another OO language.
• Knowledge of Jira, MS DevOps, etc.
• Experience with XML and XSLT.
• Experience with web services (SOAP, REST, JSON).
• Strong SQL for test data verification.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and scale a robust test automation framework using Cypress/Playwright for Pronto.
• Oversee automation of regression testing to cover critical paths.
• Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual testing across delivery teams.
• Analyse test results and verify fixes with developers.
• Participate in sprint planning and daily stand-ups to provide estimates.
• Identify new tools/technologies to improve quality.
