Job description

We're looking for a seasoned Senior Test Analyst to lead testing on a complex insurance pricing platform rollout. This role requires strong test strategy skills, hands-on experience in Lloyd's/Reinsurance environments, and the ability to manage vendors, risk, and stakeholders in a fast-paced, Agile setting.

Senior Test Analyst - Pricing Tool Implementation

Personal Qualities:

• Confident self-starter with the ability to work independently in defining test strategy, setting direction and driving execution
• Strong stakeholder/vendor management and excellent communication skills.
• Collaborative with developers, business analysts, and product owners across all test disciplines
• Able to balance immediate and urgent priorities against the wider quality assurance approach, and supporting project and business stakeholders in understanding business risk relating to any risk-based compromises in testing.

Core Competencies:

• Testing Strategy & Planning: Experience defining test strategy, test approaches and test plans for complex pricing applications. Ability to set up risk-based testing and coverage models. Experience of contributing to the design and implementation of the quality assurance aspects of BAU/operational test framework
• Functional & Non-Functional Testing: Strong background in functional testing, regression testing and UAT (including business process testing). Experience with leading performance testing, load testing, and security testing. Experience of supporting new platform implementations through go-live and hypercare.
• Third-Party Vendor Management: Defining and agreeing qualitative and quantitative metrics as entry/exit criteria. Reviewing vendor test deliverables and ensuring quality standards. Coordinating test cycles, issue triage and escalations. Familiarity with configuration and release management best practice, including framing recommendations to improve stability during parallel testing
• Automation Tools & Frameworks: JMeter or LoadRunner for performance testing. Ability to design and maintain automated test suites.
• Test Management & Reporting: Experience with Azure DevOps. Strong skills in defect tracking, reporting and metrics analysis. Experience with SQL.
• Domain Knowledge: Understanding of insurance pricing models and processes, rating engines and regulatory compliance. Familiarity with actuarial concepts and how they translate into system logic. Knowledge of change management principles and industry standards.

Must-have Requirements:

• Proven experience of the Lloyd's environment as applicable to Reinsurers/Insurers
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Senior Test Analyst
• Proven experience of rapid remediation for quality assurance workstreams in pricing platform implementations (3+)
• Strong test management proficiency in Agile delivery and DevOps practices
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic and low maturity environment
• Proven experience of implementing and supporting robust change control, configuration management and release management processes.
• Exposure to Actuarial teams.

Nice-to-have Requirements:

• ISTQB Certified Tester (Advanced) and/or Certified Agile Tester qualifications.
• Experience of working with SaaS models.
• Experience implementing hyperexponential technology.
