Role Title: Senior Test Analyst - GRS VC
Location: London
Duration: 31/12/2025
Rate: £375 - £400 per day - PAYE via Umbrella

Role Description:
The Portfolio Solutions Team is seeking to recruit a Senior Test Analyst with Insurance experience (ideally London Market), to be responsible for the planning, documentation, delivery, execution and ongoing management, of an agreed Test Strategy to support a new vendor enabled Quote, Bind & Issuance Insurance solution across multiple lines of business and countries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Senior Test Analyst for Portfolio Solutions project and support on all matters related to testing, including setting testing strategy, approaches, standards and key success factors for Unit Testing, SIT, UAT, QA, Performance and Automated Testing and continuous improvement of the same.
  • Work with wider Product teams including Product Owners and Product Analysts, Scrum Masters, Agile Project Managers, Actuaries, Developers and external vendors to promote and support 'best practice' to ensure that testing quality standards are being met, deliverables are aligned to overall test strategy and that the associated documentation is complete and of the required standard.
  • Design, develop, maintain and monitor execution of automated regression tests.
  • Work with Business Agility to produce UAT testing approaches and plans which encompass business related testing, test scenarios and test cases, working with Product Managers, Product Owners, Product Analysts and Testers to ensure traceability to business requirements using traceability matrices and organise/run testing meetings/sessions as needed.
  • Alignment with our strategy, approach and standards for testing activities, using a common approach, structure and platform (e.g. Confluence) for documentation and be responsible for checking that these standards are being properly met.
  • Understand LSM & GRS Change Control Board (CAB) processes and support Product Owners (or other roles responsible for UAT sign-off) in confirming that products are ready for production deployment, test evidence is of the required standard and CAB processes are correctly followed.
  • Promote the value of Agile Test-Driven Design (TDD) and embedding the software development practice of creating unit test cases before developing the actual code, in development teams.


Skills and Experience:

  • Expertise in Insurance Quote, Bind & Issuance Insurance solutions and strong understanding of insurance policy lifecycles, including quote and policy creation, underwriting, renewals, endorsements and cancellations
  • Knowledge of underwriting business functions, supporting business operations and previous exposure to, or experience within, the Lloyds insurance market and insurance underwriting and/or broking systems.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Senior Test Lead with a comprehensive understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) including both bespoke software development, vendor package (or a combination of both) and associated integrations.
  • Strong analysis, consultation, communication and presentation skills and ability to challenge and influence the direction and thinking of senior stakeholders and capture complex test requirements in a prioritised backlog and ability to understand strategic needs whilst focusing on the customer.
  • Good knowledge of on-premises, SaaS and Cloud hosted environments and associated CI/CD deployment methods.
  • In depth knowledge and experience of all stages of testing, including Unit Testing, Systems Integration Testing (SIT), Quality Assurance (QA), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Performance, Automated testing and Test-Driven Design (TDD).
  • Proven experience test planning and execution with internal teams, vendors and/or third-party development teams, either on-shore or off-shore and demonstrable experience of delivering test plans and associated traceability matrices to support complex multi-vendor initiatives and able to mentor and support business end user testing (UAT).
  • Exposure to automated test tools & test development skills.
  • Knowledge of Agile practitioner capabilities and experience working in Agile teams is preferable.
  • Knowledge of Change Management ADKAR model.
