Senior Tendering & Estimating Engineer £72,029 to £83,962 (depending on experience) + Benefits Wakefield or Stockton

The Role

Are you experienced in HV and EHV power distribution projects? Do you have a keen eye for securing major project opportunities through detailed and competitive bids?

We are looking for a skilled Senior Tendering & Estimating Engineer to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Commercial, youll lead the preparation and submission of major project estimates and manage key client relationships throughout the bidding process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and competitive bids for HV and EHV power distribution projects
• Engage in pre- and post-tender meetings with clients and stakeholders
• Review plans and propose value-engineered alternatives
• Support the commercial team in analysing contract terms
• Ensure seamless handover of projects to operational teams
• Monitor and improve tendering processes to enhance win rates
• Grow the supply chain to support delivery of complex solutions
• Plan ahead to meet all tender deadlines

The Person

You will need:

• HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
• Experience in HV/EHV power distribution and utility sectors
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of contract law
• Previous team management experience
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
