Job summary

Lawtech seeks a senior Structural Engineer specialising in temporary works to lead wind loading calculations and support design verification across cladding remediation projects in Greater London and nationwide sites.

You will ensure compliance with CDM 2015, BS 5975 2019, PAS 8812, and Building Regulations while developing the team and maintaining the Golden Thread of information throughout project delivery.

Qualifications

• BEng/MEng in Civil/Structural Engineering required
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) with ICE or IStructE preferred
• MSc in Temporary Works and Construction Method Engineering
• CITB Temporary Works Coordinator certification
• CSCS Black Card essential
• Comprehensive knowledge of BS 5975, PAS 8812, and Building Regulations/CDM 2015

Responsibilities

• Lead temporary works design verification across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with BS 5975 2019, PAS 8812 2016, and BS EN standards
• Champion the Golden Thread of Information with thorough digital documentation and traceability
• Maintain CPD and stay current with temporary works, Building Safety Regulator requirements
• Mentor junior engineers, promote knowledge sharing and monitor industry best practices
• Appraise and support reports to ensure competency and alignment with objectives
• Represent temporary works expertise in meetings with clients, consultants and stakeholders
• Provide site technical support during installation, inspection and removal of temporary works
