Job Description:

Our client is a leading Permanent and Temporary Works design consultancy working on projects across the UK, including caissons and cofferdam designs, foundations, drainage, facade retention, tunneling, and more. The Senior Temporary Works Engineer will join a growing team working on multiple projects and will be rewarded with a salary up to £70,000 and excellent progression opportunities.

Responsibilities:
  • Design engineering solutions for a range of standard, complex, and bespoke projects
  • Manage, direct, and monitor progress during each project phase
  • Approve and cost customer inquiries
  • Support engineering teams nationwide with design and checking
  • Prepare clear and structured design calculations and reports
  • Consider design risks and prepare risk assessments
  • Adhere to codes of practice, UK regulations, and company policies
  • Provide technical support for tenders
  • Conduct site visits and client meetings
  • Maintain project documentation
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
Requirements:
  • A BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • At least 7 years' experience in Temporary Works
  • Working towards chartership
  • Experience in staff management, financial awareness, strategic planning, quality management, and decision making
  • Knowledge of British and European Standards and relevant documentation
  • Understanding of safety legislation related to temporary works
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Tedds, BRICs CAD, and structural analysis software
