Job summary

Rullion seeks a seasoned Temporary Works Coordinator for a permanent in-office role near Whitehaven. The job requires coordinating temporary works, reviewing design briefs, and managing TW designers in line with UK procedures and BS5975.

A strong civil engineering background and professional membership are essential. Candidates should be able to ensure site TW procedures meet client requirements, train staff, and issue permits while coordinating with permanent works design teams.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification such as HNC/HND, or BEng or higher.
• 10+ years post-graduation civil engineering design experience.
• Member of a professional institution.
• Competent use of relevant design and CAD software.
• Experience with BS5975.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate temporary works schemes with permanent underground and above-ground works.
• Review or prepare design briefs and other temporary works scheme documentation in line with UK TW Procedure and BS5975.
• Ensure Design Briefs cover site conditions and the permanent works design.
• Managing external and internal TW Designers.
• Knowledge of Principle Contractor and Principle Designers CDM roles.
• Coordinate TW with the Permanent Works Designer.
• Advise on TW loads for the permanent works.
• Ensure client procedures are implemented by subcontractors.
• Inspect TW installation and sign into use and issue necessary permits.
• Ensure Site TW procedures are maintained in line with client procedures.
• Ensure TWs are trained and implementing TW Procedures on site.
• Training and development of staff on design and temporary works procedures.
• Review and brief staff on changes to relevant Standards.
