Job summary

JCB is seeking a Telematics Senior Engineer to join the LiveLink team, driving uptime and connectivity for 500,000+ machines worldwide. You will work across hardware, software and product development to deliver robust telematics solutions and data-driven insights.

The role focuses on integration, validation, and continuous improvement of connected vehicle technologies, with opportunities to shape JCB’s telematics and digital products.

Qualifications

• Background in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with telematics hardware and IoT technologies.
• Knowledge of CAN, MQTT, Modbus or similar protocols.
• Familiarity with data analytics or scripting (Python/SQL/MATLAB).

Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of telematics systems into JCB machine platforms.
• Collaborate with software, hardware and design teams to deliver connected solutions.
• Define telematics system requirements and interface specifications.
• Conduct system testing and validation to meet performance and security standards.
• Analyze telematics data to identify trends and improve machine performance.
• Support adoption of new connectivity and digital technologies across product range.
