Job summary

Our client, a major telecommunications infrastructure company, seeks a Senior Telecom Systems Integrator to join their team in Randburg, Gauteng. You will design, implement, and test complex integrated solutions, collaborating with vendors and internal engineering teams to ensure seamless interoperability and optimal performance.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in telecom systems integration, strong IP networking, and experience with mobile core and transmission tech.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in telecommunications systems integration or network engineering.
• Strong knowledge of IP networking, routing (BGP/OSPF), MPLS and Ethernet.
• Experience with mobile core network components (MSC, HLR, EPC, 5G Core).
• Automation scripting (Python or Bash) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect integrated telecom systems for interoperability.
• Develop and execute integration test plans for hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot complex integration issues during deployment or operation.
• Collaborate with vendors to meet integration requirements.
• Document integration processes and configurations thoroughly.
• Provide technical leadership to junior engineers on projects.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve integration efficiency.
• Manage multiple integration projects with timely delivery and quality.
• Define system requirements and technical specs for new deployments.
