Job Overview:

The Telecommunications Engineering position requires a candidate with a strong background in engineering design and integration of typical telecommunications systems, such as PAGA, Networking, Radio systems (including mobile phone networks), Security systems, POB systems, etc.

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree
• Typically, at least 15 years of experience in detail control & instrumentation engineering
• Proficiency with codes and standards, typically IEC, BS, and ANSI
• Knowledge of new scientific engineering methods and broad technical understanding of the detailed design engineering process
• Proficient in computer applications and specialized engineering tools
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status and membership in a professional institution preferred
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good written and spoken English skills
• Strong communication skills (meetings, reporting)
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for meetings and factory acceptance tests
• Experience working with multiple operational execution centers (MOPEX)
• Experience in contracting or related industries

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design of telecommunications systems, including all necessary integration activities
• Develop and review project philosophies, specifications, block diagrams, material take-offs, requisition packages, scopes of work, and other base design documentation
• Conduct or oversee system studies, including Radio, PAGA, and CCTV (as required)
• Manage interfaces
• Handle package requisition and management
• Review vendor documentation
• Support purchasing and field construction teams
• Complete work in a timely manner
