Job summary

A leading engineering company is seeking a Telecommunications Engineer with extensive experience in design and integration of telecommunications systems. In this hybrid role, you will undertake detailed design work and manage project documentation, working collaboratively under pressure and across various technical standards. Job Overview:

The Telecommunications Engineering position requires a candidate with a strong background in engineering design and integration of typical telecommunications systems such as PAGA, Networking, Radio systems (including mobile phone networks), Security systems, POB systems, etc.

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree
• Typically, at least 15 years of detailed control & instrumentation engineering experience.
• Proficient with codes and standards, typically IEC, BS, and ANSI.
• Knowledge of new scientific engineering methods and broad technical understanding of the detailed design engineering process.
• Capable of appropriate use of computer applications and specialized engineering tools.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status and membership in a Professional Institution are preferable.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Good written and spoken English skills.
• Strong communication skills for meetings and reporting.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for meetings and factory acceptance tests.
• Experience working with multiple operational execution centers (MOPEX).
• Experience in contracting or related industries.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed design of individual telecommunications systems, including all necessary integration activities.
• Develop and review project philosophies, specifications, block diagrams, material take-offs, requisition packages, scopes of work, and other base design documentation.
• Perform or manage system studies for Radio, PAGA, CCTV (subject to requirements).
• Manage interfaces.
• Package requisition and management.
• Review vendor documentation.
• Support purchasing and field construction teams.
• Complete work in a timely manner.
