Job summary

The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Deputy Director of Technology to be the senior accountable technology leader, setting the direction for its technology estate, architecture, platforms and technical capabilities.

Reporting to the Chief Digital Information Officer, you will translate organisational priorities into a technology strategy and roadmap, act as the senior technical authority, and oversee EPR, infrastructure modernisation and major digital programmes.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology strategy and roadmaps across infrastructure, cloud, networks, platforms and applications.
• Serve as senior technical authority ensuring secure, scalable, interoperable and sustainable solutions.
• Oversee operations, resilience, cyber security, risk management and business continuity.
• Provide technical leadership for EPR, infrastructure modernisation and major digital programmes.
• Monitor investment, procurement and supplier management for value for money.
• Develop people, build capability, and foster a culture of technical excellence.
• Govern technology risk and assurance, guiding governance decisions.
