A government technology department is seeking a Senior Technology Delivery Manager in Glasgow. You will oversee the delivery of critical technology products and manage teams in complex environments. Ideal candidates have robust experience in team management and stakeholder communication, with a focus on continuous improvement. This role offers flexibility in work arrangements, requiring a minimum of 60% office presence.
As a Senior Technology Delivery Manager, you will be accountable for team performance and the delivery of complex technology products and services over one or more teams. You will set up your teams for success and represent them to stakeholders and suppliers, building successful relationships across and beyond the organisation. You will find and remove blockers and inefficiencies, using data to continually push for better ways of working, leading to better outcomes.
As a senior member of the Home Office Technology Delivery community, you’ll share knowledge and experience with colleagues across the department and wider Government, building skills and applying good practice and standards.
You will support the UK’s security and prosperity through the products and services that you help to deliver.
Due to business requirements, this post is available on a full-time/flexible working basis. Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. We are seeking to fill key roles in a number of programmes and projects. The roles include managing team(s) working with a variety of internal and external suppliers, teams, and functions. The roles will manage risk and complex dependencies and will require excellent skills in collaboration, roadmap and plan alignment, and communication with a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
One role will focus on the delivery of time-critical decommissioning activities with many complex dependencies in a highly constrained resource environment.
Three roles will work alongside other Senior Technical Delivery Managers within the Biometric multiple solution environments, situated both within AWS Cloud and Matcher Platform infrastructures. These roles will be responsible for the end-to-end technical delivery, whilst working within the governance structure in place. Candidates will be required, at times, to think ‘outside the box’.
