A leading university in the UK seeks a Senior Technician to assist in the Veterinary Nursing Centre. This role involves providing support and guidance to students, ensuring safe working practices, and conducting quality assurance for students' progress. About the Role
The role will encompass all of the following, but the balance of duties and responsibilities will be determined in discussion with the post holder's line manager:
As a member of the Veterinary Nursing (VN) Technical Team, provide support and guidance to students, demonstrate equipment and techniques. Create a positive, industry-relevant learning environment to enhance the employability prospects of students.
Connect with relevant internal and external networks and use these contacts to enhance delivery. Undertake training practice visits and support placement students. Undertake quality assurance for Nursing Progress Logs (NPLs).
Identify appropriate personal development opportunities and actively keep up to date with relevant discipline knowledge, trends and technology, and apply this learning to practices. Connect with relevant internal and external networks and use these contacts to enhance delivery.
Ensure all staff and students are working within a safe environment and escalate issues where necessary.
