Perth and Kinross Council seeks a Senior Technician for The Community School of Auchterarder. The Community School of Auchterarder
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Technician to join our school's Secondary team, to provide specialist support our Science and Business & Technologies Faculties and as well as to provide more general support in secondary.
This is a permanent post.
As a Senior Technician you will be responsible for the preparation of resources and maintenance of equipment. You will participate in ensuring Health & Safety regulations are being adhered to across the school.
As part of this role, you will be working with learners and colleagues every day.
You will have the opportunity to participate in on-the-job training and your continuous development will be encouraged and supported throughout your career with Perth & Kinross Council.
The Senior Technician post reports to the Business Manager.
The working days for this role are Monday - Friday.
Interviews will be held at the school on Tuesday 24 June 2025.
About the School
The Community School of Auchterarder is an all-through school, comprising Nursery, Primary and Secondary departments serving the community of Auchterarder and surrounding district.
We have a roll of approximately 1,100 children and young people across all three sectors.
The school is situated in a rural location, approximately 14 miles south of Perth with good road networks to the rest of Perthshire, Glasgow, Edinburgh and the central belt. Our Associated Primary Schools are Aberuthven, Blackford and Dunning.

We are looking for an individual who:
Is adaptable and flexible.
Has good IT skills, including confidence in the use of Microsoft Office.
Is able to work effectively within the various schools teams but also operate independently when required.
It would be desirable for candidates to:
Have knowledge and experience of working within a science/technical environment.
Hold either an SVQ Level 3 or SCQF Level 6 in a science or equivalent qualification.
Be familiar with COSHH regulations and with the safe handling of chemicals.
