Job summary

The New Wolsey Theatre Co Ltd in Ipswich is seeking a part-time Senior Technician to join our busy production department. The role focuses on delivering the day-to-day technical operation, with 16–24 hours per week and Mondays and Tuesdays as essential days.

The successful candidate will support staging of our productions, guide the in-house team, and help maintain high production values. Interviews will be held on 15 September 2026; salary is £34,135 per annum pro-rata for part time.

16-24 hours per week (to be agreed with the successful candidate.

Working Mondays and Tuesday is an essential requirement of the role.

Interviews

Interviews will be held on Tuesday 15th September 2026 at the New Wolsey Theatre.

£34,135 per annum (pro-rata for part time).

An additional x0.5 of your hourly rate will be paid if you are required to work on a Sunday or Bank Holiday.

We are looking for a part-time Senior Technician to join our busy production department on Mondays and Tuesdays, with other occasional hours available around our activities.

Our production department is the beating heart of our much-loved producing theatre. This role focuses on the delivery of the day-to-day technical operation.

There is one part-time role available, working between 16 and 24 hours per week (to be agreed with the successful candidate). Working on Mondays and Tuesdays is an essential requirement of the role. Additional hours may be worked by agreement to support theatre activity, including show calls and get-outs.
