If successful, you will be at the forefront of highly complex activities on a range of Estates plant and systems, including PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance), Breakdowns and job requests both inside and outside of normal working hours, in order keep the Trust’s essential services running 24/7.

So, if you have thorough knowledge and understanding of technical data, specifications and issues relating to a wide range of Estates plant, equipment and systems, we want to hear from you today!

• The Senior Technician will be able to effectively advise, instruct and train colleagues, and other groups, in the safe operation of equipment and systems
• The Senior Technician will be able to liaise with Trust staff to discuss Estates work related issues and provide concise and detailed responses both verbally and in writing
• They will be able to communicate complex technical and safety advice effectively with a wide range of groups including department colleagues, other Trust staff groups, contractors, patients, and the general public, particularly in a potential emergency situation. This may be delivered as formal training, or informally as part of the Senior Technicians daily routine, but will always ensure compliance with all recognised safety standards and procedures.
• They will effectively communicate with all levels of Trust Staff in regard to maintenance and repair arrangements and schedules in order to underpin the smooth and efficient running of the Trust and maintain continuity of care to patients.

With a workforce of approximately 15,000 staff, we can now do more and go further in delivering health services to our local communities.

Our ambition is to deliver excellent local and specialist services, to improve the health and well being of our patients, and provide a vibrant place for staff to develop, innovate and build careers.

Patients will experience improved care as well as fewer delays and cancellations. We are able to provide more once-in-a-lifetime specialist care region-wide. With our new trust size will come more opportunities for development, research, networking and innovation.

We aim to make the most of our skills and experiences so we can become the best we can be. As one organisation we will recruit the finest and retain more specialist staff due to more employment opportunities across our Trust.
