Job description

Post Title: Senior Technician – Lighting Bias
Site Location: Fairfield Halls – Croydon
Salary: £36,750 per annum
Get out rate: £41.19 per hour
Hours: 2085 hours per annum, annualised hours, based on 40 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent

The role:

BH Live is recruiting a Senior Technician with a lighting bias to join its technical team at Fairfield Halls, an iconic multi venue arts, events and conferencing centre in Croydon, which hosts a year-round programme of events including concerts, cultural performances, musicals and plays, conferences and exhibitions, business events, retail catering and banquets.

You will:

· Lead on the safe get-in, operation and get-out of all productions and events.

· Assist in the design, set up, management, and operation of events and productions as required by technical management, including, but not limited to Lighting, Staging, Sound and AV, and according to the requirements of the production or event.

· Liaise with productions and events as designated by the Technical Management team.

· Act as Duty Technician and key holder for Fairfield Halls.

To be successful you will need:

· Proven experience in the operation, setup and rigging of lighting equipment (ETC Eos & Avolites Tiger Touch 2 desirable).

· A sound understanding of networking principles, setup, and equipment in relation to IT and Lighting.

· Experience in the management of health and safety and knowledge of current legislation inc PUWER, LOLER, COSHH.

· Ability to organise and execute the planned and reactive maintenance of staging, loose theatrical equipment and facilities.

Due to the nature of the industry we work within, you must be able to work evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
