About the job:

Based in Northwood, United Kingdom you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will join CSU Northwood, which is the leading provider of Communications and Information System (CIS) products and services to locally based NATO entities such as the Allied Maritime Command (MARCOM). CSU Northwood enables end-to-end CIS services and manages critical technological capabilities during peacetime, crisis and war.

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Senior Technician (Information System Administration) who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:

• Assist in the administration of shore-based services for a variety of command and control information systems in support of MARCOM, with support to the following critical services: MCCIS (Maritime Command and Control Information System), Joint Tactical Chat (J-Chat), Tac-Sat, Email;
• Works as part of a shift team giving 24 hour support to MARCOM;
• Delivers, activates, and maintains end user applications;
• Provides support to other high priority services such as TOPFAS, LOGFAS, ICC, NIRIS, AirC2IS, Core-GIS, MSA, and NCOP.

About you:

The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:

• Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 2 years post-related experience. Or a secondary educational qualification with 4 years post-related experience.
• Strong experience in network management, system monitoring, software packaging and/or software development;
• At least 2 years recent experience in troubleshooting and patching, and with functional applications within Windows and UNIX in a large scale ICT service-oriented environment;
• Knowledge of XMPP chat systems;
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
