We are excited to invite applications for a Senior Technician to support our activities within the Digital Fabrication Laboratory.
As a valued member of our team, you will play a key role in developing the additive and subtractive areas within the high-profile Digital Fabrication Lab, located in the Roland Levinsky Building.
Reporting to the School Technical Manager, you will be a vital team member. A significant part of this role involves close collaboration with faculty stakeholders, external partners, and university colleagues.
We are seeking candidates from diverse technical backgrounds. Qualifications equivalent to an HND, Degree, NVQ4, or similar, along with relevant practical experience, are valued. Hands-on experience in CAD design, 3D printing, CNC machining (in various materials such as wood, metal, and plastic), and material handling is essential.
The ideal candidate thrives both independently and in a team, and is capable of mentoring students and researchers, requiring strong communication skills.
