A leading automotive retail company is seeking a Senior or Diagnostic Technician to join their workshop in Birmingham. The role involves performing mechanical and electrical diagnostics for a variety of vehicles, collaborating with a skilled team, and benefiting from career progression opportunities. The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance, along with solid experience in a similar role.
Location: Lookers Vauxhall Birmingham
Salary: up to £44,600 OTE (including a basic up to £36,000, plus additional £2,000 for EV qualification and bonus)overachievement bonus available!
Hours: 42; Monday-Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm plus Saturday mornings on rota basis
Our Service team at Vauxhall Birmingham are recruiting for a Senior or Diagnostic Technician to join their fantastic workshop. While working alongside a team of other experienced technicians, you will play a vital role carrying out mechanical and electrical diagnosis to manufacturer guidelines, and liaising with the Master Technician for guidance when dealing with complex issues.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate to be considered for this role will have minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, motor industry experience (brand or non-brand), and a full and valid UK driving licence. You must also have previous experience as a Senior or Diagnostic Technician, and an EV qualification is desirable. You’ll be self-motivated whilst being able to support your team, ambitious and eager to learn, and are able to work to and maintain the highest of standards to all vehicles that take a spin through our doors.
