Job description

We're looking for a Senior Technician to join our Design team based in Liverpool. The team designs a wide range of building types and site redevelopments across various construction sectors such as education, retail, blue light, conservation, and commercial, for both public and private clients.

Location: Liverpool

Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility available; please discuss during your application.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Technician, you will support the Civil and Structural Engineering team by producing and checking civil and structural engineering drawings, 3D building models, reinforcement schedules, and specifications for building projects.

Your daily tasks include:

  • Producing and verifying coordinated drawings, design models, schedules, and specifications within a quality assurance environment.
  • Checking and coordinating civil and structural design information with other disciplines.
  • Visiting sites for surveys and inspections, and attending meetings at various offices.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualifications such as BSc, MSc, BEng, or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering, with Graduate or Associate Membership of ICE, IStructE, or IWEM, and a goal to become a Chartered Civil Engineer.
  • Proficiency in REVIT, Navisworks, and AutoCAD, producing compliant building structure models and drawings.
  • Interest in professional development and a full driving license for site visits.
