Job description

We're looking for a Senior Technician to join our Design team based in Liverpool. The team designs a wide range of building types and site redevelopments across various construction sectors such as education, retail, blue light, conservation, and commercial, serving both public and private clients.

Location: Liverpool

Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility available, just let us know when you speak to us

Responsibilities:

  • Producing and checking coordinated drawings, design models, schedules, and specifications within a quality assurance environment
  • Checking and coordinating civil and structural design information with other technical disciplines
  • Visiting building sites, conducting site surveys and inspections, and attending meetings at other Kier, consultant, and client offices

Requirements:

  • Professional qualifications such as BSc, MSc, BEng, or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering, with Graduate or Associate Membership of ICE, IStructE, or IWEM, and an aspiration to become a Chartered Civil Engineer
  • Experience with REVIT, Navisworks, and AutoCAD software, producing building structure models and drawings compliant with current CDM regulations and standards
  • Interest in professional development and a full driving license for site visits
