A day in the life of a Murphy Technician

  1. Preparation of project design drawings, including site mechanical/civil GAs, traffic management, vehicle swept path analysis, route plans, etc.
  2. Preparation of project as-built drawings.
  3. Participate in roles assigned within a BEP and work according to BS EN ISO 19650 standards.
  4. Formulation of deliverable packages and liaising with document control teams.
  5. Interrogation and preparation of models and drawings using various CAD applications.
  6. Assist, where required, with project tender packages.
  7. Coordinate with internal & external team members, design teams, and project teams as needed.
  8. Liaise with colleagues, other departments, and project teams regarding drawing requirements.
  9. Prepare drawings in accordance with current company CAD Standards.
  10. Ensure that drawings are prepared, stored, issued, and archived following company procedures via internal CAD Data Management software.
  11. Work to strict deadlines and project budgets.
  12. Ensure that chargeable work is evaluated by preparing adequate timesheet records.
