Job description

We're looking for a Senior Technician to join our Design team based in Liverpool. The team designs a wide range of building types and site redevelopments across various construction sectors such as education, retail, blue light, conservation, and commercial, serving both public and private clients.

Location: Liverpool

Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility available; please discuss during your application.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Technician, you'll support the Civil and Structural Engineering team by producing and checking civil and structural engineering drawings, 3D building models, reinforcement schedules, and specifications for building projects.

Your daily tasks will include:

  • Producing and verifying coordinated drawings, design models, schedules, and specifications within a quality assurance environment.
  • Coordinating civil and structural design information with other technical disciplines.
  • Visiting sites for surveys and inspections, and attending meetings at various offices as needed.

Candidate Requirements:

This role is suitable if you:

  • Hold a BSc, MSc, BEng, or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering, with Graduate or Associate Membership of ICE, IStructE, or IWEM, and aspire to become a Chartered Civil Engineer.
  • Have experience operating REVIT, Navisworks, and AutoCAD, producing models and drawings compliant with current regulations and standards.
  • Are committed to professional development and hold a full driving license for site visits.
