Job summary

Vertu Ford Birmingham is seeking a Senior Vehicle Technician to diagnose, service and repair customer vehicles. You will work with service advisors and customers to deliver an outstanding experience, ensuring first-time fixes and professional conduct.

We offer a basic salary between £30,000 - £41,000, based on a 40-hour week, with Saturdays paid as overtime and an over‑performance bonus opportunity. A £4,000 sign‑on bonus (£2k after month one and £2k after month 13) is also available.

Qualifications

• Relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3.
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Own set of tools.

Responsibilities

• Carry out diagnostics, servicing and repair work on customer vehicles.
• Liaise with service advisors, customers and senior management to ensure excellent service.
• Aim for first-time fixes and maintain quality workmanship.

Join our team at Vertu Ford Birminghamand become a valued Senior Vehicle Technician.

We are offering a basic salary between £30,000 - £41,000 depending on skills and experience. This is based on a 40hour working week and Saturdays paid as overtime and an additional over-performance bonus opportunity.

We are also offering a £4000 sign on bonus, £2000 paid in month one and £2000 paid in month 13!

Your role as a Vehicle Technician is crucial in delivering an exceptional customer experience, built on trust and honesty. We are expanding our team and currently seeking skilled individuals who take pride in their work. As a Senior Technician you will be the expert in carrying out diagnostics and undertaking servicing and repair work on customer vehicles. You will effectively use your technical knowledge and skills to ensure you and your colleagues are working efficiently. You will be expected to liaise with service advisors, customers and senior management ensuring excellent customer service and a professional approach at all times.. Quality workmanship and achieving first-time fixes are core values that guide everything we do.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

• A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician
• MOT license preferred but not essential
• Your own set of tools
• A full UK driving licence
