Job summary

London Belgravia Surveyors, part of London Belgravia Group, seeks a commercially minded surveyor with substantial experience. You will review drawings, specs and reports, plan and perform site visits with house builders, and ensure compliance with Building Regulations and warranty standards.

A degree in a built environment discipline and MCABE/MCWCI membership are required. You will manage construction risk, prioritise workload to meet deadlines, and build strong client relationships.

Job description

London Belgravia Surveyors, part of London Belgravia Group, provides a turnkey technical service to property developers and house builders. We deploy specialist teams to manage and monitor construction quality so schemes meet the requirements of warranty providers, lenders, investors and end clients. Our clients include leading residential and commercial developers and many of the UK’s top contractors.

You will join an ambitious team with the scope to shape a growing division. The role combines desktop technical review with site inspection. You will review drawings, specifications and reports before submission to our insurer panel, then plan and undertake site visits with house builders to check works in progress. You will focus on elements with elevated defect risk and confirm compliance with the Building Regulations, warranty standards and good building practice. You will record clear findings, guide remedial actions, collaborate with design and construction teams, and contribute to continuous improvement of our internal technical standards.

We are looking for a commercially minded surveyor with substantial relevant experience. You will hold a degree in a built environment discipline and full professional membership such as MCABE or MCWCI.

You will have deep working knowledge of the Building Regulations and associated technical standards and a strong communicator, a strong track record of managing construction risk and confidence prioritising workload to meet deadlines. Experience gained with a warranty provider or part of a building control body is ideal. You will be responsible for checking plans and attending site.

You will be adept at building and nurturing client relationships and comfortable supporting new business activity and may already have relationships with major housebuilders and contractors. A full UK driving licence is essential.
