Job summary

A Senior Technical Surveyor is required in Shepton Mallet, Somerset for a temporary assignment. The role involves managing, delivering and supervising a portfolio of construction projects and programmes to support Disabled Facility Grants (DFG), with careful attention to budget control, statutory compliance and risk management.

The successful candidate will liaise with statutory agencies, housing providers, hospitals and community services to ensure projects meet regulatory and quality standards

Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will manage, deliver and supervise a range of construction projects and programmes to provide Disabled Facility Grants (DFG) ensuring that financial, legislative and reputational risks are managed and that budgets are monitored appropriately.
• They will ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, standards of conduct, organisational policy, and professional codes of conduct to uphold best practice and will work with understanding and empathy to support people with a wide range of disabilities and communication needs, building rapport with clients and their families, linking in with statutory agencies, social housing providers, private landlords, Hospitals and community health care services and voluntary sector support providers who may impact on projects.
