Senior Technical Support Manager – Cladding Systems – London, SE11

The Role

We are seeking a technically astute and strategically minded Senior Technical Support Manager to join our dynamic team in the cladding and façade systems sector. This is a pivotal, office-based role responsible for leading technical support, guiding product development, and ensuring compliance and innovation across our cladding system offerings.

You will act as a central technical authority, working closely with Sales, R&D, Design, and Management teams to ensure our solutions meet regulatory standards, exceed client expectations, and align with market needs. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced professional in façades or building envelopes to step into a leadership role within a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Please Note: This is a fully office-based position at 4 Bedlam Mews, London, SE11.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical support for internal teams, clients, architects, and contractors across the project lifecycle—from concept to post-installation.
• Provide strategic input into the technical direction of the business, influencing product innovation and market positioning.
• Lead on new system development, testing, and certification.
• Manage and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, certifications (e.g. CWCT, fire testing), and system performance data.
• Ensure full compliance with UK building regulations, fire safety standards, and façade testing requirements.
• Produce, review, and update technical drawings using AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar CAD tools.
• Liaise with production and logistics teams to align technical specifications with operational capabilities.
• Develop high-quality technical reports, manuals, CPD content, and client-facing presentations.
• Deliver technical demonstrations and training, including CPDs and bespoke project presentations to external stakeholders.
• Represent Cladmate as a subject matter expert at industry forums, events, and technical panels.
• Monitor market trends, competitor technologies, and regulatory updates to inform product strategy.

The Person

• Deep technical knowledge of rainscreen cladding systems, materials, and performance standards (e.g. CWCT, fire resistance, wind load).
• Working knowledge of UK building regulations and façade testing protocols.
• Advanced proficiency in technical drawing software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Highly organised, analytical, and comfortable working across cross-functional teams.
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing both internal and external stakeholders.
• A strategic mindset with an eagerness to contribute to the long-term direction of technical services and product innovation.
