Job summary

Taiko, a leading UK sushi and food-to-go manufacturer, is seeking a Technical Manager to support technical/quality teams and production in maintaining BRCGS AA* standards and legal compliance. You will oversee HACCP, drive root-cause analysis, and ensure finished goods meet customer specifications through audits and training.

The role requires 5+ years in quality systems within food manufacturing, Level 3 HACCP/Food Safety, and strong Excel and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working with quality systems in food manufacturing.
• 5+ years food manufacturing experience, preferably in a technical role.
• Level 3 HACCP and Level 3 Food Safety qualifications.
• Auditor qualification or equivalent recognised qualification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the QMS and ensure BRC accreditation is AA* or higher.
• Oversee HACCP and ensure critical control points are established.
• Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances.
• Coach and audit production and operations teams for right-first-time quality.
• Support food safety culture and legal compliance across products.
