Senior Technical Program Manager, Global Transportation Technology Services

GTTS (Global Transportation Technology Services) is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead complex technical programs across multiple engineering teams. You'll drive strategic initiatives that impact Amazon's global transportation network.

GTTS powers Amazon's worldwide transportation network through robust software solutions built on AWS. We create scalable systems that optimize complex logistics operations, incorporating machine learning and optimization models where it adds value.

Key job responsibilities

1. Lead multiple, complex cross-functional initiatives simultaneously from initiation through delivery. Involves anticipating bottlenecks, providing escalation management, and communicating status broadly across all levels.
2. Make tradeoffs while balancing the business needs with technical constraints.
3. Work closely with product and engineering teams to define near term and long term product roadmap.
4. Create mechanisms to drive timely, accurate, and comprehensive project execution. Create clarity, eliminate obstacles, and drive issue resolution to ensure deliverables & timelines are met. Drive continuous improvement efforts to ensure delivery mechanisms get better over time.
5. Serve as a trusted advisor to product and engineering team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in technical product or program management.
• Experience working directly with engineering teams.
• Experience in software development.
• Experience in technical program management working directly with software engineering teams.
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management.
• Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules.
• Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
