Job Description:

The newly formed Solution Validation Growth (SVG) team within Consumer Payments is looking for an individual with a technical mindset and interest in product ownership to help us grow and launch new features and services. This role reports to the Validation vertical within SVG.

The Sr. Technical Product Manager requires hands-on experience and responsibilities including:

  1. Collaborate with Visa’s technology and product teams to understand new initiatives and impact on client projects, and build the Validation platform for Sandbox and Production as the Product Owner.
  2. Develop prototypes to validate user interaction flows and technical feasibility.
  3. Analyze proof of concept outputs to generate insights for service blueprint improvements.
  4. Ensure the service blueprint offers the best user experience, leveraging latest UX technologies.
  5. Use prototyping to refine solutions, document architectural flows, and lead technical discussions with clients and partners.
  6. Stay updated with UX technologies and evaluate their potential.
  7. Develop partnerships with product and design teams to incorporate cutting-edge technologies.
  8. Evaluate integration models to ensure developer experience quality.
  9. Serve as a subject matter expert in UX technologies.
  10. Collaborate with engineering to build scalable payment platforms.
  11. Identify process improvements for efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  12. Build relationships with stakeholders and lead User Acceptance Testing.
  13. Define detailed product/technical requirements and ensure compliance and quality standards.
  14. Participate in daily scrum meetings.

This role may require off-hours work including evenings and weekends for client support and post-production validation.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications include:

  • 8+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 6+ years with an advanced degree in software engineering or related fields.
  • Proficiency in front-end and back-end application development, coding, and prototyping with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js or equivalent.
  • Experience with web service standards (REST, SOAP, gRPC).
  • Strong understanding of database technologies.
  • Experience in large-scale, highly available web or mobile applications.
  • Knowledge of Identity solutions (OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML), cryptography, scripting for API testing, and design thinking.
  • Experience with product management tools (Jira), Agile methodologies, and payments space.
  • Strong client-facing, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to adapt priorities and contribute to broader team success.
