The Emerald Group in London is seeking a Senior Technical Pricing Analyst to support the design and build of risk price projects for home insurance.

You will work in a hybrid environment within the technical pricing and underwriting team, collaborating with pricing experts, data science and product deployment to deliver robust pricing solutions.

Strong analytical skills, knowledge of SQL/SAS and exposure to Akur8 or Emblem are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High-quality mathematics (2:1 or above).
• Actuarial science background beneficial.
• Pricing analytical skills essential.
• Personal Lines risk pricing essential.
• SQL/SAS data extraction and analysis expert.
• Open-source R/Python coding beneficial.
• Knowledge of Akur8/Emblem or similar beneficial.
• Machine Learning/algorithms beneficial.
• Collaboration with teams requires strong communication.

Responsibilities

• It involves data extraction, analysis and modelling across the portfolio of retail products/perils.
• This role involves collaboration with other teams; strong communication skills required.
• The role resides within the technical pricing and underwriting team and wider commercial team working alongside retail pricing experts, data science and product deployment.
• As part of pre-deployment analysis, you will support management with the analysis or rate impact calculations.
• Monitoring rates and determining appropriate action is also necessary.
