We are currently seeking a highly skilled Technical Senior Pricing Analyst to join our team and contribute to our success by developing sophisticated pricing models and strategies. This will be a hybrid position based in Guildford.

The Senior Technical Pricing Analyst in our Mid-Corp Pricing Team will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced pricing models to optimise our product offerings and enhance profitability. This role requires a strong analytical background, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with various departments to achieve strategic objectives. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving pricing initiatives and providing insights that support decision-making processes.

You'll participate in the Global P&C Academy accreditation, enhancing your skills in underwriting, risk engineering, pricing, and claims management while exchanging best practices across the Allianz Group. Furthermore, for pricing-based roles, Allianz Insurance offers a generous study package to enable the actuarial qualification to be obtained through the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the UK.

Salary Information Pay: Circa £55,000 per year.

Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.

About You
As the Technical Senior Pricing Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Playing a leading role in the development and enhancement of our pricing models
  • Contributing to the development of pricing structures and strategies to achieve growth and profitability objectives
  • Ensuring technical components delivered meet Allianz Group Technical Excellence standards and enable our Pricing capabilities to become 'certified'
  • Driving innovation and an increased sophistication into our Pricing approach, including managing projects to provide new insight through additional data sources
  • Sharing and promote knowledge, skills and best working practices within the team

Essential Skills To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have full working knowledge of tools appropriate to lines of business worked on e.g. MS Excel, VBA and SAS (Enterprise Guide and/or Base), Willis Towers Watson Emblem, Classifier and Radar, Micro-strategy.
  • Understand key processes, procedures and targets and is able to communicate effectively with key stakeholders.
  • Understand how own/the team's work contributes to business performance and customer outcomes.
  • Have strong analytical and data interpretation skills with the ability to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Interpret rules and guidelines properly to support decisions.
