Job summary

Qualifications

• Already a band 3 with experience.
• Management of staff shifts and work criteria.
• Understanding of machinery and process.

Responsibilities

• Assist the management to provide a professional cost effective service to all wards and departments within the Trust, and to other organisations with whom supply arrangements have been agreed; and to provide such technical advice as these services require.
• Communicate all relevant information within the SSD team to ensure the continual and efficient running of the service.
• Communicate complex, technical information and advice to customers/ services users and other healthcare professionals in a polite and helpful manner.
• Assist with Datix and non-conformances investigations ensuring outcomes are recorded following departmental procedures and communicated to the relevant staff members.
• Attend and actively participate in the Department's meetings and ensure information is effectively passed to all staff and the SSD management during hand-over meetings.
• Raise concerns with senior staff when needed.
• Liaise with appropriate colleagues on establishing reusable medical devices into sets and trays and review content as appropriate.
