Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is seeking a Senior Technical Manager / Technical Manager for a Surrey/South East residential developer. You will own the technical coordination from feasibility through to construction, coordinating internal teams and external consultants to keep projects design-compliant and buildable.

This role welcomes candidates from architecture or engineering backgrounds with strong residential development experience and commercial awareness, offering a clear path to management.

Qualifications

• Experience working for a housebuilder or residential developer.
• Senior Technical Coordinator ready to step into a Manager role.
• Background in architecture, civil/structural engineering or similar.
• Strong understanding of residential development processes.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC Standards, CDM & approvals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate external architectural, engineering and specialist consultants.
• Manage technical design information from feasibility to construction.
• Review drawings and specs to ensure coordination and buildability.
• Provide technical input into land appraisals and development proposals.
• Coordinate civil engineering requirements and infrastructure.
• Manage technical approvals and planning conditions.
• Ensure compliance with NHBC Standards and Building Regulations.
• Identify risks early and develop practical solutions to keep programmes on track.
• Support value engineering and cost planning with Commercial and Construction teams.
• Guide technical teams and improve internal processes.
