Overview:

A well-established food manufacturer is looking to appoint a Senior Technical Manager to lead the technical function, ensuring full compliance with BRC standards and customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in food manufacturing and a strong understanding of working with NPD teams and delivering technical support for new product launches.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all aspects of food safety, quality assurance, and compliance across the site
• Ensure continued BRC accreditation and prepare for third-party and customer audits
• Manage relationships with key retail and foodservice customers regarding technical matters
• Collaborate closely with the NPD team on product development and process trials
• Lead the site HACCP team and oversee internal auditing schedules
• Drive continuous improvement of quality systems and standards across departments
• Lead, develop, and mentor the site technical and QA team

Requirements:

• Experience in a senior technical role within food manufacturing
• In-depth knowledge of BRCGS standards and retailer codes of practice
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
• Practical experience with HACCP, VACCP, TACCP, and internal auditing
• Previous involvement in NPD or process development is highly desirable
