Job summary

Dalkia UK is seeking a Senior Technical Manager to lead our Technical Management team on complex MEP projects. This project-based role focuses on pre-construction, guiding technical strategy, interrogating designs and de-risking before site delivery.

You will coordinate across disciplines, manage risk, drive value engineering, and ensure compliance with Building Safety Act and CDM regulations, delivering coordinated, deliverable designs for multiple sectors.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading MEP design management on complex construction projects.
• Breadth of Building Services Engineering experience.
• Experience managing projects with £5M–£50M MEP value.

This is a project-based role with a strong focus on pre-construction, where you will lead the technical strategy, challenge and interrogate designs, and de-risk projects before they reach site. You will work across the full project lifecycle, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure designs are coordinated, compliant, and deliverable.

What You'll Bring to the Role

• Proven experience leading MEP design management on complex construction projects


• Strong understanding of pre-construction processes and technical risk mitigation


• Ability to manage and influence multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders


• Confident communicator with the ability to challenge and interrogate design solutions


• Demonstrable experience delivering projects in sectors such as:

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related Building Services discipline (BEng, MEng, or MSc)


• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (or working towards) with a relevant institution such as:

• Demonstrable breadth of experience across Building Services Engineering
