ABOUT THE JOB

The Senior Technical Learning Experience Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing learning solutions for a diverse technical community within OneStream Software. This includes Developers, Implementers, Administrators, and Business Users. The role involves project ownership and mentoring other designers to create content based on team standards and processes.

This individual will leverage their expertise to enhance their understanding of the OneStream platform and produce content across various media tools such as Articulate Rise, Camtasia, Skillable, Articulate Storyline, PowerPoint, and Word.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the design and development of complex learning solutions across multiple modalities.
• Own projects from the LxD team’s perspective.
• Manage team meetings, communications with the Technical Course Advisory Board, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Create learning objectives, content, assessments, and interactive activities, including videos, simulations, hands-on exercises, and gamified elements.
• Design content that provides an exceptional learning experience tailored to a technical audience.
• Adhere to team standards and processes meticulously.
• Manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
• Assess learning programs and suggest improvements.
• Proactively evaluate and improve GES standards, processes, and templates.
• Describe roles, responsibilities, and needs of the OneStream training audience.
• Incorporate emerging technologies and scenario-based approaches into training.
• Progress in understanding the OneStream platform to create technical course design documents or lab instructions.

QUALITIES OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• University degree (BSc or BA) in Adult Learning, Finance, Business, Computer Science, or Engineering (or relevant field).
• 6-9 years as a Technical Professional or Technical LxD/ID in an enterprise software company.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Proficiency with industry-standard design software (Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Cloud, Camtasia, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate).
• Experience creating engaging, effective, modern learning content supporting product adoption.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Post-graduate degree (MSc, MA, or MBA) in relevant fields.
• Knowledge of Finance and Accounting fundamentals.
• Experience with the OneStream platform or similar CPM solutions.
• Experience developing self-paced eLearning content, storyboards, tutorials, assessments.
• Project Management or Learning Management System experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of SQL Server or similar databases.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies like Microsoft Azure.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Mentoring junior Learning Experience Designers.

TRAVEL

• Occasional travel (~15%) for meetings, conferences, or training.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
