Job summary

Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service seeks an experienced Technical Services Manager to lead the estates’ technical property and facilities management function. You will own maintenance delivery, statutory compliance, contractor management, and capital investment across the Fire estate.

This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise and requires successful applicants to undergo Police Security Clearance (MV).

Qualifications

• Strong technical credibility in estates, facilities or building surveying.
• Experience leading FM or maintenance services and capital programmes.
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and construction legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop in-house technical services team and drive performance.
• Provide technical specifications, drawings and project documentation for maintenance and capital projects.
• Manage external contractors, ensuring compliance, value for money and timely delivery.
• Oversee capital investment, budgets and governance frameworks.
• Deputise for the Service Director - Estates when required.
