Job Description

Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking a Senior Technical Engineer for our client in the Engineering domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth. This is a Contract position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Location: Remote (must be based in Washington, DC)

Salary: $62-$68/hourly

Role: Senior Technical Engineer

Primary Skills: Security Analysis

Role Description: As a Senior Technical Engineer, you should have at least 10+ years of experience in relevant fields.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, configure, and architect the implementation of Microsoft 365 subscriptions, including device and data management.
2. Integrate ICAM solutions and authorized cloud services.
3. Maintain M-22-09 compliant Zero Trust security following best practices authorized under SP800-53Rev5.
4. Lead planning and design activities, proactively adjusting to changing business, security, and governance requirements.
5. Manage governance and compliance efforts to secure customer data, including Microsoft 365 information governance, records management, and data connectors.
6. Handle privacy/data breach incidents, forensics, eDiscovery, and audits.
7. Oversee eDiscovery, data holds, auditing, and alert policies.
8. Establish feedback mechanisms to improve services based on customer insights.
9. Share security event data with the SOC and advise on best practices for securing Microsoft 365 environments.
10. Manage enterprise devices to ensure security and operational efficiency, aligning with Zero Trust principles.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 12+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 10+ years of experience.
2. At least 5 years in technical roles involving client communication and customer-centric solutions.
3. Experience with Microsoft platforms, including M365 (Exchange Online, Endpoint Manager, Configuration Manager, Intune, Purview, Autopilot, Teams, SharePoint Online, Power Platform).
4. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
5. Ability to adapt quickly to technological changes.
6. Experience working with government technical counterparts.
7. Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum of 10+ years.
