Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Technical Coordinator/Development Coordinator to join a reputable housebuilder in the North East. The role requires experience in housebuilding and involves working within the Technical Department.

Key Duties
  1. Comply with the company's Life of Site processes.
  2. Ensure all drawings and details are accurate and suitable throughout the design and construction phases.
  3. Coordinate and chair design team meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Attend and contribute to site progress meetings as needed.
  5. Coordinate the planning process and review planning approvals to ensure conditions are met before site start.
  6. Agree on construction specifications, SAP, and BREEAM strategies for the project.
  7. Coordinate Building Control submissions and related documentation.
  8. Liaise with consultants and attend meetings to advance technical matters.
  9. Assist Commercial and Buying teams in reviewing subcontractor design information.
  10. Ensure timely and accurate design information aligned with client requirements.
  11. Maintain cost-effective design control and buildability assessments.
  12. Manage all current drawings and documents for new build contracts on the Viewpoint Platform.
  13. Review contract documentation, warranties, and bonds with the Contracts Manager.
  14. Apply for statutory approvals for engineering design and ground remediation.
  15. Coordinate temporary works designs.
  16. Attend site visits and meetings to resolve construction issues.
  17. Incorporate new regulatory requirements as needed.
